Also, you make comment that the Amtrak train was on the same track as the freight train…Amtrak’s train was going too fast for the track it was on, but it was on its assigned track.

The engineer was not inexperienced. However, that 3 months you refer to was that he had recently transferred from UP and was still learning a different set of regulations for different equipment, but he was not inexperienced.

well, the tracks are all the frieghts…. but Amtrak pays the frieght company to use them and to dispatch evenly. so amtrak wasn’t on the wrong track nessacerly…..

i may be able to figure this out.. its lites were all blue.. so the guys likely in the FD or EMS. depending on the states’ laws VFF’s use either all red or all blue lites

Most of Amtrak crashes usually are not there fault..like trucks pulling out in front of them at a crossing with lights gates and bells!…
